About Skateboarding
The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to mimic the waves of surfing. Not until the 1970’s, the first skatepark was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard building boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skate parks that were built in the next twenty years. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
