Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. Many years later, the first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard park boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateboarding parks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
